About This Course

The CHTTI Mixology Service course provides practical knowledge and professional skills for working confidently in the hospitality and beverage service industry. The course combines mixology fundamentals with guest service, professionalism, communication, beverage preparation, bar operations, safety, and responsible alcohol service.

Learners are introduced to the responsibilities of mixology service personnel, including preparing for service, greeting and assisting guests, taking and serving orders, preparing cocktails, maintaining a clean and professional service environment, processing payments, working effectively with colleagues, and handling guest concerns.

The course also develops an understanding of cocktail ingredients, industry terminology, bar tools and equipment, glassware, preparation techniques, classic and contemporary cocktails, and responsible beverage service. Strong emphasis is placed on customer satisfaction, professional conduct, sanitation, safety, and recognizing and responding appropriately to intoxication.
